Thankyou for viewing my Youtube channel!
My name is Steve, I live in Leeds with my wife. I used to live in Shrewsbury, where I grew up, but moved to Leeds in 2004 to be with my then girlfriend, now my wife, and to find better employment.
I come from a 'railway family' as my Dad call's it. He started work in 1957 at Nuneaton Railway station as a Porter. Later, around about 1960, he became a ticket inspector there,on the Barriers, untill 1984 when he was transfered to Shrewsbury. He worked the ticket Barriers there untill they were closed around (1991ish). He was then transfered, by B.R, to a Station care team, which travel around Shropshire and West Midland route stations maintaining the premises. He did this untill he retired in 2007, with 50 years service to the railways. Theres very little he does'nt know about how the railways run, so naturally I've got a large fondness for them too. But unlike him, my main attraction to them is the Diesel traction from the last 50 odd years. Where, he is a Steam, Station, and old railways route buff!!
