(back story)
My dad is a pastor. so i was raised by christian parents and like so many other i confessed to know Christ and called Him my Lord. but professing to believe and believing are two different things. when i was 19 i went to texas bible college and worked on my theology. I had this idea that Jesus was great, and that me and Him together, it would be great. i could live my best life now. i wanted my plans, my dreams, and i wanted God to give them to me. I spent some time in WI as helping my friend who was doing the youth pastor thing. all the while still living in my sins. i would say "God forgives, God forgives, i can keep on sinning, God forgives". Moved to san antonio, started working on my plans. got into a lukewarm church, and soon fell away. drunkenness, fornication, pornography, heavy drug use, greed... i worked hard to fulfill my dreams. I remember when i would get drunk, high, wired, and i would hear God say "what are you doing?" He would not leave me alone. He would explain what these sins were causing, and where they would lead. Because of His grace things started to change. i felt God telling me to leave that town. but i was still seeking my dreams. but by the grace of God, He crushed those dreams! i continued to struggle with sin...


(turning point)
till one day while the Holy Spirit hit me with His truck! I gave up, I let go, broken, i finally surrendered. funny thing happened after that, all these sins i had been struggling with, like chains just kinda fell to the ground. I no longer enjoyed them, i could not longer enjoy being high, drunk, looking at porn, my dreams that once seemed so amazing looked boring and worthless.


(today)
so now im here, today, trusting in God. This life does not belong to me, i was bought with a price, it is no longer I who lives but Christ in me. This world around us is just electrons it has no substance. It will pass away! "got my feet on the ground and my head in the clouds". Life is short, so make it count for eternity!
