@sethwoolley You simply misunderstand Craig's argument; he isn't talking about temporal causality, just causality in general. He understands quite well the nature of temporality that is introduced in the big bang, this is all addressed in his work on the Kalam.

@havvyweponsman No, the point was that the universe begins to exist in the big bang and that everything which begins to exist must have a cause. God never began to exist.

It seems the childishness and irrationality has reached "the level of no reply." Hope you wake up someday and turn on your brain instead of parroting these atheist cliches that have been countered thousands of...

@jataylor7 Indeed. The interesting thing is that these people don't even have a basic understanding of God. They claim to be critiquing my house, when in fact they survey a house that isn't even in the right state, and then they send me a letter telling me how terrible my house is. The phenome...

@booney5000 Why would you look for fossils or 5 lbs of God, a spiritual being? It's an absurd category error. Would you also look for the happiness of a wall, or the heartbeat of a coin?
On the contrary that insufferably arrogant atheist is also lacking argument. I claim to have a green car. ...

@booney5000 I'm glad we've moved beyond your superficial kindness into some true colors. You claimed that since other gods do not exist neither does mine. Same as the marbles. Then you probably at least implicitly understood how daft you were being and resorted to empty assertions, merely parr...

@booney5000 If you were familiar with any substantial philosopher you wouldn't say the things you do and make the poor arguments you do and undermine Christianity. Kant was a theist and Nietzsche's atheism is nothing like your own, heck you can't even spell the man's name correctly!

@booney5000 How did you learn that those other gods cease to exist? You aren't using reasoning at all, you're making blind assertions with no rational justification. Inductive vs deductive reasoning, the zodiac? Who are you kidding with these cliches? Where is your "deductive reasoning" deriv...

Friend, you seem like a nice guy but after watching this video I have to think that there is quite a facade here. I'm not sure you made any rational points in that entire video exempting the atheist cliches at the end largely made up of misrepresentations. I also highly doubt you are in any way ...

"I think logical deduction would say that God probably, most likely, does not exist."
Care to back that up whatsoever? I don't think any philosopher or logician with a head on his shoulders would (or has) ever claimed such a thing. What is ironic is that the axioms upon which you no doubt base...

Good points Fr. I agree very much. I enjoyed the movie but the modernistic view of love and the self was disappointing and anticlimactic after the religious part of the movie. I guess that's our world that says religion is just a step along the way to the real goal: romantic love and "self ful...

@tamicha1 You don't, and that's the point. You just say "science is based on inductive logic." By itself your concept is simply fallacious. If you address the *actual* metaphysical roots of science rather than simply claiming that it is inductive and that's that, you will find yourself back at...

You mistake a strawman for theism, and also fail to understand the history of philosophy and science and distinguish the ancient's metaphysics from their physics. Of course you are right about evolution, but your idea of inductive logic in science is a purely modern and fallacious idea (see Hume...
