@nogames59 It's not likely at all that the designers intended the bayonet be affixed for maximum accuracy. The sights probably need to be adjusted for windage, not an easy thing to do for this rifle. But not withstanding that it is very accurate if you find one with the rifling in good condition....

The skis aren't just short in Japan. In the late 90's ski makers started making skis that were shorter but were easier to turn because the sidecut radius was increased (the ski gets skinnier in center and wider at the tip and tail). Tall, straighter skis are not as common anymore.
