Dedicated to the life and works of BOB DYLAN Born May 24, 1941, Hibbing, Minnesota
Still KICKIN'!!
As former Beatle, longtime friend of Bobby's, and former member of the Traveling Wilburys GEORGE HARRISON said in his introduction of Bobby at the 1992 Madison Square Garden Tribute Concert Honoring Dylan's (then) 30 Years as Legendary Musician and Songwriter:
"You may know him as Bob, or Bobby, or Zimmie, but I call him 'Lucky.'"
Cinderella, she seems so easy
"It takes one to know one," she smiles
And puts her hands in her back pockets
Bette Davis style
And in comes Romeo, he's moaning
"You Belong to Me I Believe"
And someone says," You're in the wrong place, my friend
You better leave"
And the only sound that's left
After the ambulances go
Is Cinderella sweeping up
On Desolation Row
"Desolation Row," first released on Highway 61 Revisited, 1965

About Me:
Born in Oklahoma, (I know, it already sounds like a bad country-western song), I moved with my family to the Midwest just before starting grammar school. Never met Woodie Guthrie, but Pete Seeger is a longtime friend. ;)
At 13, I ran away from home in Indianapolis to NYC in search of Bob Dylan (police eventually returned me home by bus), then to San Francisco where I met Ken Kesey & the Merry Pranksters (and the police returned me home by bus ... ahh, the good ole daze!). Finally left the Midwest as soon as I finished high school. (Drove my car, didn't hop a freight train.)
Headed to California then back to the East Coast for college, spending my undergrad years at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, then on to Columbia in NYC for my master's.
Somewhere around the time I officially settled on the East Coast, I saw Steve Perry in concert with Journey a couple of times and I became hooked. Steve was an INCREDIBLE performer with AMAZING pipes, onstage magnetism & HAIR TO DIE FOR! ;)
Despite long absences during which I was usually protesting wars, on the road between Indycar races and rock concerts, I finally managed to finish college with journalism degrees in hand, for what that was worth. ;)
Before hitting the world of reporting, I had a couple of gigs in auto racing PR. GREAT times, lots of FUN -- and hilarious stories that really can't be told until a few legendary race drivers/car owners finally bite the dust.
Got my first job as a punk rock critic for an alternative newspaper in SOHO. Went on to write for a handful of weekly and daily newspapers and for a few magazines before beginning a career as a publicist, promoter (and shamefully, even a PR whore).
No matter what my job, I was always on the road ... following politics, racing and MUSIC. Often the three led me to the same place.
Married and divorced, married and divorced, married and divorced. Maybe more times than that, but you get the idea. When I was younger, I think I enjoyed the chase more than the commitment.
Found it hard to find a spouse or partner who (a) enjoyed spending time alone while I was 'on the road,' and/or (b) had a sense of humor that equaled my sense of marriage and commitment.
Never found a spouse who wasn't jealous of the time I spent with Dylan and Perry. lol
Looking back, I didn't always behave well in captivity and probably still wouldn't.
I love animals, particularly BIG CATS, and sometimes prefer their company to that of some of the humans I've met over the years.
