Zdenek is a folk singer, songwriter and guitarist coming from Mohelnice, Czech Republic. He´s been performing in a concert since 1998. He is a pupil of a great guitarist Milos Dvoracek. For several years, he was playing along with a pianist and percussionist Pavel Kuncar. Together, they recorded the first demo CD. Zdenek has been collaborating with the singer and songwriter Petr Rimský on a long-term basis. Zdenek attended Petr´s summer guitar school in 2004 and since 2006 he has been participating in the organization of the school. He also teaches the acoustic guitar playing there. At the end of 2006, Zdenek recorded a clip to his song Vlastovky (Swallows) together with Petr Rimsky in TV Ocko.
Zdenek Hamrik performed at many various music festivals and individual concerts. He appeared in Vera Martinova concerts during her 2003 spring tour and he participated on a preparation of the "Mohelnicky Dostavnik" festival with Pavel Alligator Nenkovsky. Zdenek was also a guest of numerous radio shows in the Czech Radio Olomouc, radio Proglas and others.
Zdenek is a graduate from the Department of Recreology at the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacky University in Olomouc. Nowadays, he is an intern postdoctoral student there.
