@EstorilEm That's the difference in EADS vs. Boeing control philosophy. EADS A/C allow the pilot to suggest manuevers to the computer and it decides if it will do them or not. Boeing does not restrict the pilots options like that, but does incorporate many warning systems to let the pilot know ...

@arsenium666 So Arse, my friend, just like the WTO battle, EADS does things worse than Boeing. $3-5B in illegal subsidies for Boeing and $20B for EADS. One late program for Boeing and three (A400M, A380, & A350) for EADS. Oh, and EADS tankers can't seem to keep their booms attached.

@dukeofstradone They do indeed have more accidents, but only because they've been around a lot longer. You need to look at the total fatalities divided by the number of passenger miles flown to get an accurate indication of the safety of an airplane. By this measure Boeings are very safe aircraft.
