BIOGRAFÍA YURIKA KODAMA

Yurika Kodama nació en 1978 en la ciudad de Kagoshima (鹿児島市), Japón.

A una temprana edad decidió que su meta sería convertirse en actriz, y tan sólo con 10 años comenzó a practicar gimnasia rítmica, ballet y karate. Formación que más tarde le ayudaría a conseguir algunos papeles.

En 1996 se trasladó a Tokio para estudiar Arte Dramático en la Universidad Toho Gauken. Tras licenciarse, comenzó a trabajar como modelo para publicidad y actriz en televisión.

En el 2000 fue elegida para interpretar el papel de una guerrera ninja, llamada Mitsu, en la serie de televisión más longeva y de más renombre de todo Japón, "Mito Kômon" (水戸黄門), que lleva en antena desde 1969.

En el 2002 viajo hasta Nueva York para interpretar un papel en un cortometraje, y a partir de esta experiencia, decidió seguir viajando para trabajar en otros países y conocer otras culturas.

A finales de 2005 viajó a España, donde reside actualmente.

At a very early age, she set her sights on becoming an actress, and when she was only ten years old she began studying rhythmic gymnastics, ballet and karate. Later, these studies would help her to win several roles.
In 1996 she moved to Tokyo to study acting at the Toho Gakuen College of Drama and Music. After graduating, she began working as a model for advertising agencies and as an actress on television.
In 2000 she was chosen to play the part of a ninja warrior, called Mitsu, in Japan's most famous and longest-running television series, "Mito Kômon" (水戸黄門), on the air since 1969.
In 2002 she travelled to New York to act in a short film. It was this experience that led her to decide to continue travelling to work in other countries and to broaden her knowledge of other cultures.
In late 2005, she moved to Spain, where she now lives.
