I Can only imagine what 48 c must feel like (unless i turn the oven on and sit in it a while) - it's 24c tops here now.- i can see that's likely not to go on an upward till next summer now.
I have needed glasses (and with the reading bit in the bottom part) oz- every year (for 3 years) they tell me "these frames are indestructable",within 3-4 weeks i manage to break 'em each year somehow. Then i get told to buy insurance for them haha!
You see i think they can only comfortably bend horizontally, but whatever it is i do to them must bend them vertically.
I think the highest temp i've been in is around 36c in Italy - but the houses there are built to stay cool inside.
They issued a health warning here for 29/30 c! not long ago - i guess it's the sudden rise that can get the old or very young/infirm.
We been talked out of using farenheit for some reason about 15 years ago - the BBC stopped mentioning it in weather forcasts lol, strange really.

My friends and family have said this fireing has been a positive blessing. I really didn't realize how much that place was sucking the good out of me...1 pissed of person calling in to be declined at a time.
