There have been many a dynamics study on Intermittent transmission chain systems
Where as I susspect the Entire concept of Linear Rotational Dynamics of twistable chain is new
There are many cases that illistrait the old addage ,
that a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link
Mostly they are other-wise very possitive and strong safety devices
So far as we know , gears are generally the most durable and rugged,
thier power transmission efficiecy is as high 98%
Its impossible to say how many schematics have been drawn
representing sprockets driven by chain,
and chain in some conventional modes is driven by the spocket in a traditional sense, but what you'll find here is apparently unconventional.
