it's funny how Barrett sounds very Gilmourish in his own work but does NOT sound like Gilmour on this (even though it sounds great and he nails the feel of the solos)

I think I prefer Joe Crabtree because his sound fits the sound better and he is more diverse, but this drummer did a sick job; he really felt the song this night.

@JamesSCameron it's not missing in reality, only on this video for some reason. I own both PULSE cd and dvd, and it is not missing. and yes I also own the VHS tape and it wasn't missing either. My guess is the video compression. check out other versions of this on youtube and you will hear it.

I'm a HUGE PF fan, I play this on keyboard, and I don't like Nightwish, but I really like that they made this song theirs: they didn't imitate Pink Floyd, they made it sound like themselves. You can tell that they are both deeply concentrated and enjoying themselves. I always say that if you don'...

Joe Satriani Red with Steve Vai Robert Fripp
Loving this tune, and it has a mega groove. That riff (that I would describe as a double stop riff) at the beginning is SO cool

Vai adapts to suit the song in his solo, surprisingly enough (didn't Zappa use to challenge him to see if there was anything he could NOT play?), but Satriani doesn't, really.
The stuff at the end is pure G3 but kinda comes out of left field; no wonder Fripp remains calm.
