About Me:
 
Italian endorser for Mcilroy Guitars, Gabriele Possenti studied at Perugia and Pesaro Conservatories, graduating in 1994. Thereafter, he specialised in acoustic guitar at the Lizard Academy of Music in Fiesole, graduating with honours and a special commendation. In 2004, at the 7th International Acoustic Guitar Meeting in Sarzana, he won first prize in the prestigious "New Sounds of Acoustic Music" competition dedicated to the best new acoustic guitar players in Italy. In 2008 and 2010 he was invited to open the 6th and 7th editions of the Montelago Celtic Festival, an international event under the patronage of the Irish embassy in Italy. He also ran acoustic guitar workshops at the PiorAcoustic Guitar Festival and the Montelago Celtic Festival. In the role of Italian endorser for Mcilroy Guitars, he took part in the 2006 - 2007 editions of the Osnabruck Open Strings Festival in Germany. He worked together with Paola Gassman and Ugo Pagliai in the theatrical recital "Spensieratamente Ricordando" and has worked with numerous musical schools and institutions, including the Solisti di Roma, the Istituzione Sinfonica Abruzzese, the Solisti Aquilani, the Orchestra Sinfonica Umbra, RAI television, the Festival delle Nazioni di musica da Camera and the Gioventù Musicale Italiana.
Gabriele plays a Mcilroy ASP 25.
