@12ock The german "pocket battleships" were the size of large cruisers with heavier guns of 11inch calibre. Each broadside of six shells weighed about 4,000 lbs as opposed to Exeters 6 x 8" broadside of around 1,500 lbs and the two light cruisers broadsides of 8 x 6" at 900 lbs.
