is there even a question?! Fry's version is monotonic and after 3 minutes of listening even annoying! Dale's version is AMAZING. such depth in every syllable. so many different voices going on... no question about it...

a great pianist can play this piece in 1:30 and still sound less rushed. it's not all about the speed. I think Mr Kissin failed on this one. it sounds to me like a man after a marathon run trying to catch his breath...
I prefer Rubinstein or Barenboim's version...

I agree with you about the calmness. Tzvi Erez is a great pianist,
but... The same calmness, for me, ruins it a bit. it lacks the soul of the real piece.
listen to Vladimir Ashkenazy's version, or rubinstein's... I think they bring out the best of this waltz.
