My suggestion in the future to minimize interfering sounds in a noisy venue is to 1) hold the mic closer to the subject 2) Position your body to act as a shield against the other sound source 3) Use a mic with a tighter polar pattern that will attenuate off axis sounds. This is all recording 101 ...
