From the hood of Compton, CA a band named Your Name In Lights started in 2004. The name of the band came from growing up in the hood of Compton, you will always have cops shining and flashing their lights at you. After being together for a few months, they packed up and left the hood and moved to the desert of Albuquerque, New Mexico. After a few shows in their new hood YNIL built a loyal fan base which their fans have their back as much as YNIL gots theirs! Within the few months they got to play some good shows with bands such as Strung Out, Rufio, The Explosion, Evergreen Terrace, 5 Speed, The Receiving End Of Sirens, Me Without You, Chronic Future, The Jimmy Chamberlin Expierence, SXSW in Austin, TX and Warped Tour 2005. They also did a little tour with Rufio, The Spill Canvas, and Terminal in the summer of 2005 on the west coast. In December of 2005 YNIL was announced winners of the Ernie Ball/Warped Tour Battle Of The Bands 9 and was brought to the top out of 10,000 bands entered! They received $25,000 worth of new gear and was flown out to Hollywood to play the showcase at the Key Club! The band continues to tour as much as possible and is now working on their 1st full length album with dreams of being on top with their hometown homies like NWA, but in the rock world!
