About Me:
When he was four years old he started piano lessons which gradually led to the growth of his love for music. Sometime at the age of eight he started percussion lessons with the percussionist Nikos Forlidas. After that, from the age between twelve to sixteen, he attended private drum lessons with George Giannopoulos, the drummer of the famous Greek band "Pyx Lax". And from the age of sixteen to eighteen, his drum teacher was the session drummer Fotis Giannopoulos, who has performed and toured with Helena Paparizou, Anna Vissi, Antonis Remos and several others.
In July of 2009 he was auditioned in the East London University where he passed and started his studies in Performing Arts. Since that time he has taken advantage of all the opportunities and challenges that have come into his way.
First and foremost, and among others, his teachers in ICMP are the following :
Darren Ashford a professional drummer who has performed and toured with many famous artists such as Backstreet Boys, Westlife , Lionel Richie, Black Eyed Peas and others.
Neil Martin who as a performer and a drummer, has toured and recorded with artists such as Del Shannon, Archie Bell and the Drells, Percy Sledge, The Chi-lites,Peter Cox (Go West),Mark Shaw(Then Jericho) and has done numerous sessions for radio and television.
Justin Scott, the head of Drums in ICMP and alumnus of Berklee College Music who subsequently attained a Master's Degree in Music Performance from the London College of Music and Media. As a performer he has drummed and recorded with musicians such as Mike Mondesir, Iain Scott, Phelan Kane and others.
Chuck Sabo, who has a reputation in the music industry as a top-notch musical director, songwriter and producer. His recording credits include Elton John, Chaka Khan, Cher, Tina Turner and many others.
He has also attended several masterclasses with famous musicians such as :
Mark Shulman, (drummer), an active educator, teaching at Los Angeles Music Academy who has toured with Cher, Foreigner, Frank Gambale, Simple Minds, Al Green and he is currently performing with Pink
Pat Petrillo (drummer),who is in the drumming faculty of Drummers Collective, has performed with Patty Smith, Ed Hamilton and others and he has also played in several Broadway shows in New York City, such as "Grease" and "Dreamgirls".
Dave Marks (bassist), a freelance musician whose CV includes an incredible array of artists from a huge range of different genres.
Benny Greb (drummer), known for his high profile events such as the Montreal Drum Festival in Canada, the Ultimate Drummer Weekend in Melburne Australia, the World Drum Festival, Germany and many others.
Greg Howe who is one of the best session guitar players and has toured with Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake and many others.
Michael League, a composer and bassist who has performed and recorded with Grammy Award winners such as Beyonce, Roy Hargrove, Kirk Franklin, Adam Rogers and others. He is the band leader of "Snarky Puppy", which has been named the best Jazz act in the Dallas Observer Music Awards for 2008,2009 and 2010.
