I have such fond memories of Space Mountain, going back to my 1st holiday to LA in Oct/Nov 1978! I remember feeling that the lead up to the ride itself was pretty amazing! The ride itself was such great fun,all in the dark with those eerie, distant screams all around. Great times.....

This was a great ride. It's basically the same as Montezuma's Revenge at Knottsberry Park, Calif, wich I discovered many, many years ago. I was so pleased to find something similar at AT then disappointed on a return visit to find it had gone -now I know why. What a bummer!

Under any other circumstances, this would have been classed as mass-murder, McDonald Douglas knew about the faulty door even before the Windsor incident. The heads of the FAA and McD should both have been arrested, tried, then, in my opinion, jailed for culpable homicide.
