YDEK Diabetes Research Support Group was created on February 16th, 2008 by me, Julia Andrews. I created the site in support at first of Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers, but later extended out the support to everyone who has any sort of story to tell about diabetes. The site's name came from the song that Nick wrote about his diabetes called A Little Bit Longer. I myself do not have diabetes, but I have people close to me that do and it affects me, and the hope for a cure has always been a close cause to my heart. YDEK spread rapidly throughout myspace for a while, and I apologize for letting it slip. I'm in the process of bringing it back and making it better than it ever has been. I'm happy to say that the site now has a co-owner, my bestfriend Miss Katy Warren. Together we are hoping to work hard together to spread word about this site and help raise money for research. Many updates and additions will be coming to the site, and I'm excited about it. We are in the process of setting everything up at the moment, but it would be greatly appreciated if you would spread the word about the site while we are doing this. Thank you so much for all of you that have supported the site. I am more greatful than you could ever imagine.
