Well, instead of a remake, I guess this is more of a sequel to Aquarion (which I am now watching and hopes to finish by the end of winter break). I'm barely on episode 2 of Aquarion so I can't judge whats better.

But I must say, I definitely LOVE this anime. My favorite this season. It's cliche...
