VI. How Do I Record My Videos?
There are 2 ways in which I record my videos.
1. I use the Boss GT-10 or Line 6 POD X3 Live, and plug-in to the computer straight through USB. I have all my tones in processors. And I record over the backing tracks that I have in Garageband or recently Logic Pro 9.
While Recording, I take my video with the camera side by side. After a couple of takes, I import the video into my Mac. Then In IMovie, The mix both the audio track and the video. I export it, and then upload it to Youtube. :)
2. I use the combination of my pedals. I set up my chain and use a3 /4" jack to 3.5mm jack adapter to plug in to my Mac. Then in the project, Garageband or Logic Pro 9, I load Amplitube and use it as a cabinet to get the tone. Again, I do the same thing, take the video while recording and mix the audio track with the video.
Some Guidelines :-
My recording techniques have advanced in time. I first used to just jam along to the tracks with my guitar plugged into my amp, the song playing on the computer, and I would record my video with my phone camera. The major problem there was sound problem. Then when I started recording in the computer itself, sound quality became much better and I actually got good quality videos.
I do not use any external sound card, I use everything which is in built in my Macbook 15 inch laptop.
I am soon gonna make videos of my tones on my processors and some videos of the whole recording process, and my gear. So stay tuned. And thanks for all the support.
Hail Metal! \,,/
