These people are really terrible to give these kids this kind of stress over adult issues.

The whole focus on sin, death and punishment is creepy. Anyone who knows kids knows they improve their behavior better with accenting the positive, rather than just focusing on when they mess up.

This is a combination of brainwashing kids, and the power of magical thinking, both very powerful psychological forces. We see this on the face of the little girl praying for a good bowling score.

This guy doesn't get it. Human flourishing means society flourishing. A rapist enjoys making victims suffer but obviously his victims are not 'flourishing' so rape is 'bad' for society. This principle would apply to any crime or injury applied to another.

I don't think you can compare the criticism for Bush with that leveled at Obama. People waited to speak out against Bush until he did something bad for the country, i.e. he organized an energy policy for our country and had big oil, gas, etc. design it at meetings.
