In my opinion the music back in the 60'. 70's and some of the eighties have actual artists that can play, write and sing their own sings well. The image issue was not such a big concern all that was needed was talent and Sylvester has a rock solid vocal range.

This is so incredibly sad to see that happen to someone. Addiction is real and a terribly nasty demon to shake. He is doing more harm to himself inhaling paint than he would on illegal drugs (except meth). I wish him all the best.
