Firstly, to Vincent...see you in heaven dear friend...my silent partner! Secondly, I know that ppl are checking me out in order to deterimine how they'll respond to me...and once they find out I'm, gasp, a 'Christian', it's a free for all! Oh, it's OK. I gotta go w/Jesus in the little known John 3:17...for God did NOT send His Son to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved." Yep. No one is condemning you, at least on God's end. He's NOT condeming you. He loves you. Why would Jesus go thru all that trouble being crucified and all that excruciating pain if He wanted us to go to hell anyways? Truth is, He did that b/c He is the sweetest Person EVER, and takes you just as you are...warts and all. He knows. And loves us even though we're ugly and selfish. It's a whole other level of love. And it's free. No need to 'fix' yourself as a prerequisite. It's so simple...just come as you are, ask Jesus to save you, and it'll be done. From what? From yourself! Now beware..if you ask Jesus to save you, you'll become the ultimate outcast. When you invite Jesus into your life and heart, it will be the utmost statement of rebellion. People will hate you, reject you, persecute you...ad nauseum. There is no piercing, tattoo, marking, etc., that will mark you as the rebel you are. There are no rules, other than you must be prepared to be hated and reviled for something you believe in. You must be ready for persecution instantaneously and know this is not for the weak, but for the strong. Mainly, you should meet this Jesus, whom time itself is based upon, and see that He is not only real, but is really the epitome of beauty. Jesus is what's been missing all your life, and once you've met Him, you'll never go back. Do not dare invite Jesus into your life unless you're ready to face true persecution. Sadly, I confess that to accept Christ is to accept a huge burden that most cannot handle. It's a burden of love, not of hate, and the hardship is trying to love a world that judges you and hates you b/c of what you believe in, though it proclaims to be 'tolerant'. The world is tolerant of all but Christians. Don't believe me? Do a test of pretending you became a Christian for 48 hours and feel the hate. Now that's a true rebel. It's easy to be vaguely 'spiritual'...oh, it's so magnanamous...but to be a Christian...well, taste and see...and let me know how it goes...
