ดอกไผ่บาน (Dork Phai Baan) translates into English as, "Bamboo Flowers Bloom". I do find any translations of this song into English in a cursory Google search. The song is an extended metaphor for love lost and not regained - using bamboo flowers blooming and later fading as the poetic device. The song is poetry - as were Carabao's earlier songs. You might not find a translation that makes a lot of sense as translating from idioms in Thai poetry to English idiom intelligibly would be quite difficult. The last lines of the song, though, are easily translated and very hopeful:
Beautiful bamboo flowers...blooming in my heart...still kept and waiting for that someone...
So it is not important how long I wait to fulfill the dream of the day when bamboo flowers bloom.
