This channel is pretty much entirely focused on my amazing horse JD. He is without a doubt the most rewarding, talented and stubborn horse I have ever ridden and has subsequently shaped my life in so many ways.

He stands at 15hh, and is now 14. He was bred at the Rosevale stud and is TbxArab with paces to die for. He is undoubtedly one of the quirkiest horses I've met and has a never ending stream of character.

We are currently registered with BSJA and the BSPS.
Jumping BN/Disc tracks and hopefully moving upto newcomers this year if all goes well. We have also reverted back to showing this year too so we have a number of BSPS qualifiers on the road ahead.

Fundamentally though, I do what I do with this horse for fun. I love working towards certain goals and aims but we're not pressurised into being something we aren't. I believe that's so important as I see soo many young riders pushing themselves too far too fast which removes the fun from the sport and the relationship.

I dedicate alot of what I do with this horse to my Dad who passed away in December 2009; thanks to him I now have this horse in my life and I will be forever grateful. Loosing someone so important really draws a clear cut line of reality into view and it's changed me as a person, changed my ambitions and beliefs. Live every moment and every fraction of your life with no regrets... most of all,never be afraid to give your heart to something.

My name is Rebecca or Becs.
I am 18 years old and currently study English Literature at the University of Edinburgh, in my first year and loving every minute.
I am an aspiring writer and showjumper.
Ideally, I would love to write novels and earn a living from doing so whilst maintaining showjumping as a competitive hobby on the side.

I adore the fantastical side of literature. I literally live with my head in differing worlds that hold the innate ability to lift us from the present. Currently engrossed with Martin's Game of Thrones and subsequent novels so yes, you could call me a fantasy nerd.
