Hello to you all, I am Yakumo Yukari the youkai of boundaries. Often, apparently, a youkai of a michieviously fickle disposition; annoy me and you shall die a surreal death... but I'm very nice to those I like, so let's start this off smashingly.

Small fact: Necrofantasia essentially means Fantasy of Death, which hints at the setting of my battle in the Netherworld and adventures with a ghostly friend.

Age: I'd say 1200, but who's counting?
Eye colour: It changes, interestingly enough...
Hair colour: Obviously obvious.
Shoe pairs: Whatever gets caught in a gap.
Dresses: 2, but I like to experiment~
Aquaintences/old friends/Family-
Saigyouji Yuyuko, Yakumo Ran, Chen, Konpaku Youmu, Hakurei Reimu and Ibuki Suika to name the most prominent ones.

In ancient taoism philosophy, originating in the ancestral land of Chuugoku (or China, if you prefer) the 8 Trigrams (Hakke) 「八卦」 were to represent the defining foundations of reality. Here I stop before I lecture like the Yama.

With it comes an ancient magic that it has seemed only Marisa and Reimu still use. Eirin and myself have extensive knowledge of Hakke but we have developed our own abilities and are no longer reliant on the Hakke to harness them. To Marisa and Reimu they remain an essential to project their abilities; notably in form of Marisa's Hakkero and Reimu's Inyou-tama (Yin-yang orb).

I constructed a house of many dimensions so that I could live more comfortably in my own space. And also as a fort to any threatening intruders that may come with malicious intentions.
Here the laws of physics do not apply and are bent to my leisure. But that's all old news~
So basically, I'm the most omnipresent and strangest Youkai you are likely to meet...

Over linear time I came to Gensokyo, creating a house and placed it where Gensokyo's beginning and end are one.
The dimensional life was too predictable so I set up a home in a much more, call it conventional place.
Anywhere else is the alternate if some complications occur.

The story of a True Friend
真の心友の昔話

Long ago when I was still young, around 250 years old or so, I met Yuyuko Saigyouji just out of chance while taking a stroll by a human village. We crossed paths and our sights did as well. I said nice to meet you! and we then had a nostalgic chat; how she had an interesting yet tragic power, I told her about myself and she told me how she had once killed an innocent human at the time she discovered her power.
We rejoiced through the passing seasons and felt the closest of friends.
She had mentioned something about sealing the Saigyou Ayakashi-- a cherry blossom youkai that took the lives of many that sat under its cursed beauty. I told her to wait until I could think of a less costly solution.... but she ignored me.

I made way to Saigyou Ayakashi, realising that the tree could be sealed without a sacrifice, to find my worse fears had been realised... she nobly sacrificed her life so others could live by using herself to seal the tree...
After her death, I went to Hakugyoukurou, the world of lingering spirits between the living and dead. After a chat with Youki Konpaku the gardener of Hakugyoukurou at the time and Youmu's past mentor, I found Yuyuko's spirit, whimsically wondering without care or worry. I had felt a strong nostalgic feeling at that moment... and from those very first words nice to meet you, history seemed to repeat itself and we became friends again. Only this time, she seemed free of all her suffering... it was then I realised that perhaps her death was a way for her to start anew.
One day around the coming of spring she asked for my help with something: help in blooming the Saigyou Ayakashi that would never fully bloom. She learned if she could gathered enough spring, it would be possible it could blossom. I knew their were certain others who would come to stop this but because of my grief in losing her in the past I felt a need to help her with the plan-- that and Yuyuko seemed like she was not changing her mind.
She had forgotten herself in death and also forgot that it was her who sealed it.
Eventually, noticing the bizarre cold weather, those heroines interfered and eventually halted Yuyukos plan.
Whilst Yuyuko's plan had failed, Reimu was still pressing deeper on into Hakugyoukurou to see who was responsible for the weakening border between the living and dead.
As I knew was inevitable, I felt her nearing. Then, before the miko appeared, injured Ran and Chen came to me and told me of their encounter. Then seeing danmaku in the distance... the wild Hakurei Miko appeared! We talked for a brief time and then our battle began-- quite nonchalantly.
In the end, Reimu triumphed.
I was hoping my last resort and final card would stop her, but she evaded it at the last moment through some bizarre twist of divine fortune...
And keeping my end of the bargain, I restored the border and Yuyuko and I returned spring to Gensokyo.
