There's a glitch that when you try to reply to a pm it brings up jibberish in the send to portion. This keeps the message from being sent. It looks like some sort of Google issue, not an issue with channels blocking eachother. If instead of trying to reply, just pull up their channel and send them a new message. That will let you know that you're not blocked and also give you the capacity to respond. :-) Hope all of can stay calm or at the very least focus our ire on Google.

About the baofeng...Lord! people going on about whats 'Legal'/ 'Illegal"! "Waaahhh"! I am trying to get some of these vendors get back to me (China). Man, they just won't do it! I want two of them, honestly for personal communication between my Mother and myself, and for emergencies. That's about it! I can respect the fact that people defend the Freq's. But, in my area, Trenton, Ohio., (Yawn!) There ain't a lot goin' on with 2m, or 70m anymore! I have an expired licence from long ago and really no use to re-up! So, I just do a good 'Pirate" act! I'm legit, but I'm not legit! Get me! lol! I've been in and out of C.B., 2m, 70m, S.S.B. of all aspects of most bands that even require licencing. G.M.R.S. You name it! So, I'm not the least concerned about legalities! My question for you is, using these lil' things for reasons stated. Do you feel that a dollar was well spent on the Baofengs for general purpose, fairly long range communication? Sorry so lengthy!
