COOP3R COV3RS live cover/jam of Ok Go Needing Getting. We arranged and composed this cover based off of the "Chevrolet Sonic Music Video" where Ok Go played the song using a Chevy Sonic car with pneumatic arms to play all of the instruments.
We worked hard to try and cover all of the important parts and melodies with only four people. (Not to mention the guy in the red GSU shirt is a bassist and not actually a percussionist lol so don't study his technique ;)! He actually really enjoyed playing this piece with us, he just happened to yawn during the opening sequence so we took advantage of it lol) (we recorded this run at 1:15 A.M. after 5 hours of rehearsal and audio and lighting setup, so we were all getting tired!)
All of the audio was recorded live, and 3 camera angles were recorded live. To further your viewing pleasure, we then recorded the 3 more angles as well as some extra footage to show everything that was going on. The entire room was captured during the live run using a GoPro HD Hero2 wide angle.
COOP3R COV3RS would like to thank Georgia State University's School Of Music, and The GSU Percussion Studio for allowing us to use their expensive instruments, and wonderful facilities within percussion suite in the Rialto Concert Hall. Special Thanks Goes to Robert J. Ambrose -- Associate Director Of Bands Stuart W. Gerber - Percussion Coordinator -- Associate Percussion Professor Chester B. Phillips -- Associate Director Of Bands -- Director of Athletic Bands Georgia State has an incredible music program! It's a great program to look into if you're interested in a great college experience and excellent musical education! http://www.music.gsu.edu Tell them Casey Cooper sent you! ;)

All of COOP3R COV3RS are recorded by Casey Cooper into a Logic Pro using a Presonus Firestudio Tube a 15" Macbook Pro i7 with 4gbs of RAM. We used an Sm57 on the Guitar/Ukulele, a Shure Pg52 In the back of the cajon, & a Sterling St55 Large Diaphragm FET Condenser placed over the vibes to pick up the bells, vibes and marimba and Timpani. The Marimba and Timpani had separate mics, but as timpani bleed was so bad I ended up scrapping both of those tracks. Unfotunately there was no way to mix the track perfectly when recording live with the timpani and china, as the bleed was on almost every mic track. I ended up switching mallets on the china and playing at a much softer dynamic on both .
All Camera and Video Work is recorded by Zach Sturino in 1080p HD with Canon T2i's, Canon T3i's, GoPro Hd Hero 2. Video Editing is done in Final Cut Pro. You can check out Zach's other work here: http://www.vimeo.com/zachirino http://www.youtube.com/zachirino21 @zachirino

The new music video from OK Go, made in partnership with Chevrolet. OK Go set up over 1000 instruments over two miles of desert outside Los Angeles. A Chevy Sonic was outfitted with retractable pneumatic arms designed to play the instruments, and the band recorded this version of Needing/Getting, singing as they played the instrument array with the car. The video took 4 months of preparation and 4 days of shooting and recording. There are no ringers or stand-ins; Damian took stunt driving lessons. Each piano had the lowest octaves tuned to the same note so that they'd play the right note no matter where they were struck. Many thanks to Chevy for believing in and supporting such an insane and ambitious project, and to Gretsch for providing the guitars and amps.

La Luna is the timeless fable of a young boy who is coming of age in the most peculiar of circumstances. Tonight is the very first time his Papa and Grandpa are taking him to work. In an old wooden boat they row far out to sea, and with no land in sight, they stop and wait. A big surprise awaits the little boy as he discovers his family's most unusual line of work. Should he follow the example of his Papa, or his Grandpa? Will he be able to find his own way in the midst of their conflicting opinions and timeworn traditions?
La Luna is directed by Enrico Casarosa and produced by Kevin Reher
