@USMC4life1991 That's not a typo. Hazel is 16 years old, so that is her seventeenth year. For example, if you were born March 3rd, 2012, then December 2012 would be "the December of your first year," because it is the first December you have lived through, and the first year you are alive. DFTBA =)

The YouTube community has, apparently, lost all of it's sense of humor. You aren't considered to be smart if you notice a video like this is fake. "Oh, I noticed something nobody else did, he's only pressing one key, it's a fake, they tried to rip me off!" That's not how it works, sweetie.

@LilBit9O4 No, in various gameplay videos it is shown that you control the horses/dogs/cats directly as you would normal sims (as in you click various objects and interact with them, so that the pet's head appears in the center of the circle of commands).
