A teacher in Bucks County Pennsylvania was teaching her class about bullying and gave them the following exercise to perform. She had the children take out a piece of paper and told them to crumple it up, stomp on it and really mess it up but do not rip it. Then she had them unfold the paper, smooth it out and look at how scarred and dirty is was. She then told them to tell it they're sorry. Now, .........even though they said they were sorry and tried to fix the paper, she pointed out all the scars they left behind. And that those scars will never go away no matter how hard they tried to fix it. That is what happens when a person bully's another person, they may say they're sorry, but the scars are there forever. The looks on the faces of the children in the classroom told her the message hit home. *Copy and paste this if you are against bullying*

Daylen, Re; your latest video: Thank you so much for your message! Very kind of you,
John.

Thanks again for your nice comment. Sometimes we meet people who we can be friends with, who are 'straight'. Others, males even, use 'psychological ploys' - doing same sex kissing etc, but in a way which is designed to humiliate a gay person. There is no sincerity, but it is homophobic in intent, striving to seduce people into being bullied. We hope that there may be more honesty amongst people who identity themselves as gay on some level, Daylen.

Thank you so much for your comment. You have a nice demeanour, and be proud of being this way, it makes you a more special person. I feel you have sensitivity, and I didn't jump to conclusions on that subject about you, but it feels better knowing. My message is to always treat people we meet as well as we can, and hopefully the approach will pay off. There are lots of good people about in the gay world, and lots of nice. I have sometimes experienced bullying, but perhaps this internet era of easier communication will improve the lot of all gay people. Regards. John.

As you said, people have got a 'lot to live for', and the recent speight in gay related suicides was very upsetting and disturbing. It is sad when people succumb to the immature attacks of insensitive bullies. We therefore have a duty to people with respect, whatever their differences or make up.

An encouraging and friendly video, touching on the attitude of people who perhaps enjoy bullying and taunting those who they perceive as different. A very positive and upbeat message.
