She had been making this collab with someone else and had finished all of her parts, an entire half of the video, when the her collab partner's computer broke. So Renee asked me to fill in because she really wanted to see the collab completed, and because she knew I shipped Delena. I do love this cover of the song and Delena, although I don't really think they go together... the song is about a painful break-up and Damon & Elena have never really dated on the show lol. I was honored to be asked by Renee though and I love her videos and I wanted to help her out so I accepted and then I made all my parts yesterday afternoon/evening/night lol. And in record time made a whole half of a TVD video! :D
I wasn't sure while vidding it if it was supposed to be AU or not lol so I kinda went more canon whenever I could... I'm more of a fan of canon Delena anyway. ;) So for things like my part starting at 2:55 - I meant canon, Elena is missing Stefan and Damon is missing Katherine and Rose, and then I made that part before last night's episode had aired and I couldn't think of any real times Damon was clearly comforting Elena over the loss of Stefan but Elena in both of those hug scenes *is* comforting Damon after he lost his loved ones. And Damon is thinking "now Katherine/Rose is gone and I'm wishing..." - that was my weird thought process anyway. :P I'm sure most people will just watch it and see it as me trying to make manipulations where at 2:55 Elena is crying over Damon, etc, though. And that's fine too. It's the beauty of the art form of fanvideo making - it's open for interpretation lol.
So anyway ClassicallyCoolProdz made all the parts using the odd numbered episodes. And she'd finished them before season 3 started. She did use one scene from an even numbered episode by accident - a scene from 1x02 in her first part - and she made 1 manipulation using episode 1x04, another even numbered episode in her second part. But other than that she stuck to odd numbered episodes.
So I got to use all the even numbered episodes and also all 5 episodes of season 3 so far. ;)
Also you can tell our parts apart if you want because my parts (the seasons 1 & 2 parts at least) are all DVD rips, whereas hers are all TV rips it looks like. ;) Lol. I used TV rips whenever I used season 3 though so that's also not a sure way to tell them apart if you don't know the show too well. Also TV rips don't *always* have the CW logo on them so sometimes they look like DVD rips which makes it more confusing.
Um... Renee did the coloring and rendered the whole collab - twice!! So thank you SO much for that. I really appreciate it. She also cut the song I think in the beginning of the whole thing... I mean I didn't do it lol. ;) I don't know for sure if it was her or her original collab partner but she was able to send me my song parts for vidding so I figured she did it.
I came up with the watermarks and font choice though. ;) Btw.
