First off, I was born Jewish but have fallen in love with Yeshua (Jesus). Who knows what exists beyond this mortal shell. I am agnostic and don't pretent to have all the answers; only that Yeshua has been horrifically misrepresented.
The hypocrisy of those who have yet to break free from the hive will not end until those of us who are free start speaking up.
Also, keep your eyes opened for *bringers of truth* who are really deceivers. There are many individuals attempting to represent themselves as spiritual, as being on a higher level, having insights that others may benefit from. Whether they call themselves Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, new age or extraterrestrials, please do make sure their personality fits with their act. Many egotistical narcissists try to pass themselves off as good, God loving bringers of light, when deep down their intentions are far more manipulative. These are dangerous individuals, as they will do whatever is necessary in order to continue on with their charade, for the sake of their own selfish need for power, while silencing those who wish to speak up about them. They fool many; they even fool themselves. No one's perfect; we all have bad days. But please do be weary of those attempting to use manipulation in order to sway others to their mindset. Some forms of manipulation:
1. If you don't submit to my particular belief system, you must be evil, influenced by satan, and you will surly go to hell. (Note: even during the times of slavery, something that today most of us can admit was an ungoly thing, people used this logic to silence those who wanted to free the slaves. This is what I mean when I speak of manipulating the bible - and then others - to do what we want them to do, or keep silent when their words don't benefit us, all to our own selfish gain.)
2. If you don't submit to my particular belief system, you must be closed minded, far from the light, and weak.(This is more in the new age sense, where manipulation is as devastating to life as it is in the Christian sense. Many of these new agers use the same manipulative tactics as the chrurch when they want to get their way - even if *their way* comes at someone else's expense.)
3. Ever hear the saying, "It's always the quiet ones?" If there is an individual who is blind with rage, lashing out at all around him (or her), waving a gun around, it's easy to see that this is a dangerous person. If, on the other hand, there is a man (or woman) who is sitting calmy, pleasant enough, with a smile on his or her face - with a hidden gun under the table and his/her hand on the trigger, it is THAT person who poses the greatest threat, for most will look at the pleasant facad and never know the true intentions of that person. Physical violence is only one method for this deception. Abuse comes in many forms, and emotional abuse can be just as harmful as physical abuse. Think about the calm, polite manner an abusive man will use as he very politely informs his wife and daughter that they, indeed, are inferior, incapable of making decisions for themselve, and must bow down to him - because he loves and wants the best for them. He doesn't yell, he doesn't scream - he speaks in a calm and polite manner - as he tears them to shreds emotionally and spiritually - and ends with *because I love you,* or *Have a nice day* These are the most malicious because they obscure intults under a soft tone and mockingly polite words.
Do what you will, but if you know that your actions are immoral and can harm others, do not find a way to use God, religion and spirituality to justify such things. These are your own desires; take responsibility for them instead of justifying them with the idea that God backs them up. This goes for those inside AND outside the church. Much of what has been, and is still being done in the name of Christ is absolutely unChristlike. Much of what has been, and is still being done in the name of new age spirituality is nothing more than a manipulative ploy to get others to do as we wish, to our own benefit, regardless of whether such things may harm them - and is no better than Christian manipulation.
Finally, for those of you who choose to speak up about such things, understand that you will not have it easy. These people are very good at keeping others quiet, via manipulation, slander, character defamation, fact twisting, or MISreading what is actually there - sometimes on purpose. Understand, these people will not let down until they fully get what they want, be it the end to something they feel threatens their way of life and greedy ways, convincing others, via manipulation, to do as they wish, or even just revenge. Stay strong, and never, ever let these people shake your faith in God. These are not of God.
