@KloOopkao No it wouldn't be right to miss on purpose, because it's the Ref who decides if it's a penalty, NOT the player. Once the decision is made the players have to respect it, even if they don't agree with it. To miss on purpose would be letting his teammates & the fans down.

What made this tackle so great was that England had been under real pressure on their try line for some time & the French looked likely to score. Skinner made the hit & drove, then the rest of the England pack piled in, and suddenly the pressure was off. Massive hit!
