I could be very wrong, but I think regular pepper spray is FAR more powerful than this shit. This stuff is only 2% OC, while regular pepper spray is 10%-17%. The reason being is that it has to be humane for the bear or other animal.

This is the hottest hot sauce, NOT 100% capsaicin. If you ate it pure, you'd most likely be dead or hell, you'd at least feel dead. It wouldn't burn you, but it might as well burn you, because it will probably feel worse than any burn EVER would.
