Basically. The MPC is a 'Music Production Center'. You can do it all on the MPC. Were as the Kaoss Pad is more of a touch effects unit. Just with the capability of sampling to 4 pads. Also the MPC has 16 pads. And 4 banks of 16. So a lot more sample space. The Kaoss pad is more for live sampling/looping. And the MPC is more for pre-loaded sample triggering. They are very different, but they are both very good pieces of equipment. Why do you ask?
