About this user

Hi, I'm Josh Manuel. I'm currently 20 years of age and was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. I received my first drum kit when I was two years old, and I've been playing non-stop ever since. Both of my parents are musicians, so I've been surrounded by music all my life. I started taking drum lessons at the age of four. I continued drumming through middle and high school by participating in drum line. In addition, I played at several churches around the Atlanta area.

During my junior year of high school I played with a local band called Dear Madison. Right out of high school I received a college scholarship that allowed me to play and tour with a band called Union Avenue from Chattanooga, TN. Having a full year of touring was great experience, but I decided to further my career by moving back to Atlanta. Soon after returning to Atlanta, I got the opportunity to play briefly with a band called South Shores from Dallas, Texas. I then opened Century Studios, a full service recording studio, with a good friend of mine, Brian Meadows.

I currently attend Georgia State University where I plan to graduate with an Arts degree in Film and Video. I play at various churches around the Atlanta area, including; 12 Stone, Grace Midtown, Stonecreek, and The Atlanta Vineyard. Recently I've had the opportunity to play with the Grammy nominated band, After Edmund. I plan to further my career by continuing to play as a studio musician as well as touring full time with a band.
