Invisible Geese
Where does the magician hide the goose?
I'm not troubled by the cards or parakeets.
Are there pouches in his tails?It's not the box.
I checked it out.His assistant is anorexic,
so forget her.Is the air full of geese?
Invisible geese swirling in the air,
their compasses cracked or lost.
Who hides these geese?For all we know
we could be sitting on one right now.
Not a pleasant thought and personally
I think their due an apology.
It is best to keep an open mind
in these matters.Maybe they are everywhere
like god.Maybe these geese make gravity.
Maybe these geese are what move the trees.
This could explain alot.Like why,for instance
why does a ball suddenly go foul?
Or how about all the static fuzz on TV?
Why wont my wife sleep with me at night?
Who can feel sexy in a roomful of geese?!
Swarming in the air like a nest of snakes,their tubular
necks wrapped aroundeach other like Celtic bunting!
Maybe geese give us nightmares as revenge
for stuffing their childrren inour pillows.
Maybe geese puncture that hole in the ozone
above the North Pole.Or maybe they are
the hithero unseen final elementary particle.
They could be the missing link.They could explain
love and death and war and how curling became a sport.
Maybe the magicain has a pouch in his coattails.
