@Susanlucena That's not true what so ever. Many children in the United States get their ears pierced and aren't "traumatized" for months. Likewise a lot of British children raise hell.

@KinKiNiKKi4 Yep, rooks can migrate all right. Migrate doesn't necessarily mean rejecting, where it pushes out of your skin. Many piercings migrate a bit, and then settle.

@CaffeinatedThoughts I never said don't use a taper. I said wearing one in your ears is a bad idea. As soon as the stretch is complete you're supposed to follow through with the jewelry. Especially if that is an acrylic taper, acrylic is very porous and can harbor bacteria.

Do you have any idea the impact improper stretching ( i.e jumping sizes ) can have on your ear? You might want to look up some pictures of the cat butt effect, and your lobes can be torn right in half if you stretch up that fast.

@Waffles0fWar I used to work in a fast food joint for 4 1/2 years. Honestly, people treat you like you're complete scum. I think being treated like that so much and getting used to it has an effect on you. Since I left I feel a lot better :)

@fuzzypyro58 Yeah, not even close. Any cartilage piercing can take anywhere from 12-18 months to fully heal. They take a lot of dedication and patience. And remember, feeling "healed" and actually being healed are two different things. Piercing heal from outside in.

How did I know that as soon as I found out this was a DIY piercing video there would be hydrogen peroxide involved? Hydrogen Peroxide should never be anywhere near any piercing, it even says on the bottle not to use it on "open wounds"

The fact that they're fighting over two very popular piercings (daith and rook) which this happens to be neither of them, frightens me. Yes, this piercing is a forward (anti) helix. I'm not even a piercer and I know this stuff, don't know how this shop stays open.
