I am a student and guitarist from the Chillicothe, MO area. I'm currently in my senior year of high school, attending Chillicothe High School. My biggest interests are music, robotics, computers, carpentry, electronics, etc. Basically stuff that gets my hands dirty. First, my entire life is trying to be like Christ. I do not claim to be a Christian. If people call me a Christian, then let them at it. The first "Christians" didn't call themselves Christians; they were called that by their peers. I believe the biggest thing that Christ called me to do is love God with all that I am and love people with all that I am, just like it says in Matthew 22:37. I mess up a lot, too, with people. I don't claim to be perfect and holier-than-thou, because I'm so far away from that. In other news, I'm big on guitars. I've currently played guitar for about 6 years. I took formal lessons for about 6 months, and then quit that and started teaching myself and watching other guitarists. I also play the bass guitar, piano, and I believe if I had my hands on them, I could easily play the banjo, mandolin, violin, and cello. Stringed instruments are my cup of tea. My musical interests, as far as playing, are pretty broad. I first started out learning bluegrass, because I just liked out it sounded, then got into hard rock, then classic rock/blues, then got into alternative rock, and now I'm big on the ambient/drone/shoe gaze thing. I currently play guitar at a non-denominational church in Chillicothe, MO called Cornerstone Church. I started playing about 4 years after learning how to effectively play guitar. Being a guitarist there has really influenced me in where I want to be after high school. So I've pretty much decided that I will major in Music Performance (or Worship Ministry) and minor in Media Production. I will then hopefully become a Worship Leader at a church that God calls me to.
