Sara Shirabuki as a pureblood vampire posesses the unnatural beauty of her race. She has a heart-shaped face, long;wavy;light;blonde hair that reaches just past her waist with bangs that fall over her forehead. She also has deep blue eyes and has the calm appearance typical of the pureblood vampires. She appears in her late teens, when in reality she is much older.Sara is slightly taller than Yuuki.

Sara is a graceful pureblood, who appears soft-spoken among her fellow vampires. However, recently, it appears that there may be something dark and dangerous that lurks beneath the surface, as she finds Takuma and plans to use him for her own unknown reasons. In chapter 49, Sara even admits that she is impatient and, it is also made known, that, like a few other purebloods, that she is not very tolerant. When Takuma refuses to betray Kaname, she violently tears at his already injured chest to draw blood and torment him. But later, when both Takuma Ichijou and Sara receive invitations from Kaname and Yuki for the vampire ball, it appears that Kaname knows Takuma is under Sara's care and thinks that she is not a threat to Takuma's existence. Their is also had no exchange of hostility or fear between them as Sara handed Ichijou his invitation. She also seen wondering what Kaname is planning and who is more dangerous Kaname or herself.
She later appears at Kaname and Yuki's party, where she meets Sayori Wakaba, who is Yuuki's friend, lending her a hand. But Zero grasps her in time, thinking she might harm Sayori. Yuki interrupts when she senses a human and realizes it is her best friend and meets Sara. Sara says she would like to be great friends since there are only few purebloods left. When she leaves to greet Kaname, both Zero and Yuki sense a smell of fresh blood coming from her which later in Chapter 55 proven to be the blood of her fiance. Sara's fiance is revealed to be the mysterious Pureblood Ouri-sama, who is much older then her as he rarely pays attention to Sara as he still sees her as little girl. Interestingly she has shown other sides of herself to Takuma Ichijou, who reveals to just even though Sara capricious and short-tempered, she also has cute sides, too.
In chapter 56, Sara reveals that she had killed her fiance.
She is later seen enrolling into Dahlia Academy Girls School, masquerading as Takuma Ichijou's ill sister. When being guided by the rector, after passing three girls headed to the music deparment, she fakes having a spell and asks that her 'brother' finishes the tour in her stead. Once they left, she follows the girls and after telling them what she was, she drinks their blood, and shares some of her own, so they don't turn into level E's. After leaving the school with her new found 'friends', she runs into Zero who is ready to kill her and the other girls. But she tells him that she did everything by the rules, telling them what she was before biting them, sharing her own blood and even pledging to take care of them until the end, and therefore he couldn't exucute her or her friends. She then tells him how she can see his burning desire to either kill her or the other pure bloods. She also mentions how much he reeks of the smell of a pure blood vampire and questions how much blood the Kurans gave him. She continues to taunt him by saying how they have thrown him away like an abandonded dog, and how she wouldn't mind taking him in. He respondes by telling her to disappear, saying how she shouldn't piss him off more then this.
Sara broke into Hanadagi-sama's castle, and obtained his heart, the organ that has the most power.
