Hetalia is okay i'm pretty sure its mainly targeted to the female audience though seeing how it has the cutesy look and such... and those "chibitalia" parts are just too weird. But I did enjoy watching the Japanese and then the English version to see the differences; the English version is way more vulgar/ruder, but I liked it way more because of all the accents xD
It's sort of a habit for me now to check out the new season but I have to admit that this summer's animes were pretty bland...
We watched a few random ones too, and we also Hetalia and ended up saying "Pasta!" randomly for the next two days lol.
I really like Ao no Exorcist.
I've been hanging out with my cousin and has netflix too and we were watching old animes too, like ugly yet beautiful world.
I'm really only watching the second seasons of Nura and Baka to Test. :D

As for my otaku life (Lol) I am currently obsessed with Fairy Tail and Ao no Exorcist, while also keeping an eye on Beelzebub, Gosick, and... Another one whose name i cannot remember right now... haha.
