Sheesh, I don't even know where to start! I have been working on this tribute for months and it all kinda seems like a blur, now that it's all done.
I have wanting to do another tribute video for years (even since I did the first Tribute video back in 2008) but I didn't want to rush it and I really wanted it to be a sincere and GOOD tribute, not just something I threw together. So this has been a work in progress for a LONG time, and I am very VERY stoked on the way that it turned out! My first tribute video was a tribute to the musicians and songs that got me started on drums and kept me inspired, THIS tribute is dedicated to the incredible platform that gave media back to the people and made it possible for ANY innovation to be seen worldwide. Unfortunately Google or YouTube don't really have songs or media that I could "cover", so I thought I'd pick some viral videos that came out over the past few years and do a mash-up.. I started doing this months ago and I'm so stoked that it came out exactly as I initially pictured it.
For some more detailed background around this video, just check out the "making of" here: http://www.youtub...
I initially recorded this song as part of my new series (due for release within the next few weeks.. it's all recorded, just busy with the post production now) but I decided to release it early and as a stand-alone video, just to say thank you to the incredible support from you guys that has enabled my channel to reach 100,000,000 views. I cannot get this into my head and I am incredibly grateful.
(Also, that ridiculously awkward stare somewhere in the middle of this song is a shout-out to Adventure Drums.. if you haven't seen him, check him out here: http://www.youtub...) ______________________________

Warning: Since this video seems to have gone crazy, I figure I'll post this notice. I'm going to read a letter my 15 year old daughter wrote. There ARE some curse words in it. None of them are incredibly bad, but they are definitely things a little kid shouldn't hear... not to mention things MY KID shouldn't say! If you want to see the original Facebook thread, it's located at: http://www.facebo... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My daughter thought it would be funny/rebellious/cool to post on her Facebook wall just how upset she was and how unfair her life here is; how we work her too hard with chores, never pay her for chores, and just in general make her life difficult.
She chose to share this with the entire world on Facebook and block her parent's from seeing it. Well, umm... she failed. As of the end of this video, she won't have to worry anymore about posting inappropriate things on Facebook...
Maybe a few kids can take something away from this... If you're so disrespectful to your parents and yourself as to post this kind of thing on Facebook, you're deserving of some tough love. Today, my daughter is getting a dose of tough love.
