About Me:
My name is Kate and I'm situated in the North East of England. My life is dedicated to my horses, always has been and always will.
I have been riding for as long as I can remember for, literally learning to ride before I could walk, I am now doing A2 levels, studying Psychology, Graphic Design and Photography. Knowing realistically that the chances of becoming a 'professional' in any sport is slim, I tend to go to University into Graphic Design and keep my competing/horses separate, until and 'if' my riding takes off.
I currently own three horses. Cruise a 14.1hh Welsh Section D with stunning paces, who I bought as a unexperienced 5 year old, who has now competed me up to National Level, producing fabulous dressage scores in the 20's /low 30's.
Dee, a Warmblood x Arab mare with outstanding bloodlines and beautiful paces who has took me jumping up to 1.45 at home. This mare has taught me more than anything, and I have no regrets on buying her for all we battled. She is currently off work from having a big operation back in October and hoping she will be back in Feb 2012.
I now have a new addition 'Ben', a 15hh Conemarra currently 6 years to bring on and work with over the winter. He should become a fab little eventer, should Event him next Spring and see what happens. We've just registered BSJA and began competing up to 1.05 height/Discovery, hoping to try a Newcomers in a few months.
Having spent the past 2 years at home, working solidly one to one with my horses, having faced and overcome all my setbacks I am aiming to Event to a fairly high level. I thrive upon high goals and targets, driven by pure determaination and by the end of the next year I hope to have competed up to JRN level and Newcomers height BSJA.
I am a young rider hoping to bring out the best of both me and my current horses. I strive for perfection and as every young girls dream would do anything to make it to the top. Luckily enough, recently I have been offered a sponsorship with 'Sport Sense', which could be the start of a loved career and this has really widened my einsight into becoming into a professional.
I'd finally like to thank all my subscribers, friends, commenters and to anyone who watches and appreciates my video's.
