J.K. Rowling said that Narcissa's saving of Harry reflects Lily's sacrifice in the first book. Again, Harry is saved by a mother's love for her son. It's a nice link back to the beginning of the book.

I love this scene! The fact that Snape deflected McGonnagal's spells into the Carrow twins shows how badass he is! I love that he fled, it doesn't show that he's a coward, it shows that he knew the fight would lead to one of then dying, and he didn't want to have to kill her, as they were friends...
