I have to disagree over evolution- 1) there is no evidence for it so it's a moot point, 2) it hits at the heart of the truth of the Bible and provides a 'scientific' basis for all false religions from Atheism to New Age and Pagan ideas. 3) your interpretation ignores the careful study of the text by thousands of scholars over the centuries that has determined (for example) that the days mentioned in Genesis 1 are literal 24 hour days

Crucifixion means to crucify our fleshly, lustful needs. They require patience, hence pain. However, those who endure until the last will be saved and live eternally in heaven, hence resurrection. Jesus lived and preached nonviolently. He was sinless and yet died such a violent and horrific death just to send us a message so that we could be saved by His Grace. This is God! True leader sacrifices himself to save the lowly ones. In human practice, it is always the weak ones that are sacrificed. Generals don't fight at the frontline. jESUS the most high general, fought at the front line against the serpent the devil and WON!!! Again, what saves us from hell is to practice love God and love thy neighbor sincerely. Evolution or creationism don't enter into the equation of salvation. Therefore, debate over evolution is futile!

Jesus' teachings are: Love thy God and love thy neighbor, and do good and eschew evil. Basically, all the Epistles talk about that because they are Holy Spirit inspired. Jesus then taught the truth to disciples in parables (symbols). However, the essence is all about love of God to humans and the consequences of living a life of sin. The essence of Adam and Eve is also love of God and consequences of sin. Jesus' message is very simple. We have to practice inorder to be saved.
