@andipoetic yea the movie kinda screwed that explanation up. I think in the book it's more that their behaviour; because of their heritage, presents itself like ADHD. I don't think it even says if it causes a hightened sense of awareness, more that they constantly feel on edge and 'battle-ready'....

At my school the tenors were the divas :P . I personally sing sop in choir and alto in musical theatre so I'm on the fence in this debate. Love the song though, a friend of mine is doing it for a show and she sounds awesome :).
