I've read all the comments with the greatest interest, and have to say that I disagree with a lot of them!! To my ears this is not a good performance. Quite apart from the finger slips, his rhythm and timing are all over the place and go far beyond what could politely be termed rubato or interp...

Nice intonation, tuning and attention to musical detail - but just a tad too fast! Slow it down by a few beats per minute, and it won't feel so rushed. Very nice performance, though. Well done!

I agree; It's too fast for my taste too, but perhaps that's just over-famliarity with the recording I have - always a danger. However, I feel that a lot of detail is lost due to the chosen tempo. That said, the playing is technically of an extremely high standard. I most certainly couldn't mana...
