Slightly related reading recommendation: The Physics of Superheroes by James Kakalios. I'm not a big science type person, but this book actually made me interested in physics. It was honestly fascinating. Hope you like it!

I think the idea of lab-grown meat freaks people out because it brings to mind chemicals and dangerous, unhealthy preservatives. Also, that if the meat isn't "real" it won't taste as good or is artificial and unnatural. Admittedly, that is my gut reaction. But if you think about it, a vast amount...
