Paul Ringham (Trumpet) 1952-1999. Grew up in salvation army bands, was principal of National Youth Orchestra, performed Hummel with them. Kicked out of Guildhall for touring with the LSO, moved to Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra where became co-principal for 7 years. Had a brief stint as co-principal of BBC symphony orchestra before moving to the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra for 17 years. Continued to freelance regularly with all major orchestras inclluding LSO (played on Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi). Also principal on Passage To India, Krull, Mad Max 1-3, Interview With A Vampire and was also on the Champions League theme that runs today.
Running for more than 25 years, Paul Ringham and the London Tijuana Showband were one of the busiest function bands in the country.
